We Throw Up and Catch It
hey guys, my name's chris and i'm very interested in getting into contact juggling. i was curious if anyone could recommend me a good place to start learning, a dvd or website, anything would be awesome.

heck, any advice on where to start for standard juggling would be amazing as well.

thanks in advance.

Depends on why you want to start. There's something to be said for just learning on your own, in isolation. I'm more of a selfish CJer/Sphereplayer, concentrating more on my own exploration. Don't get hung up on looking for instruction, look for inspiration. Just my two cents.
But there are so many resources now put out by some good people, so here's a start:

contactjuggling.org - Good place for keeping up with news, discussion, and research/history
..The Essay section.
....The First Five Steps be sure to read all ten steps (pretty much anything by Ferret is a good read.)
..The Search page
....some bits about Moschen. There's lots more, but this is a good start (just be sure to also check the links in people's signatures for further reading.)

other communities/resources
CJ at Tribe.net
CJ on myspace.com
CJ on youtube.com. There's more with different tags, I think
Ministry of Manipulation. London CJers.
..In Isolation. Most recent video (released at EJC 2006).
Greg Maldonado with Owen Edson & Remy Holwick
..creators of the Contact Juggling Part I, II (& III) videos
Tryout Toys
..creators of the Sphereplay video & organizers the SphereCamps East and West
